Yuksha Shrestha

Yuksha Shrestha is a 2024 graduate of CIHE. Coming to Australia was a long-awaited dream for her, but the experience has been marked by both highs and lows. Arriving with just a 30kg suitcase and even heavier ambitions, she has gained patience, independence, and resilience along the way. She credits both Australia and CIHE for providing a solid foundation, making her journey—and her life here—a deeply rewarding one.

  • What degree program were you in at CIHE, and when did you graduate?

    I completed a Bachelor’s in Information Technology at CIHE and graduated in 2024.

  • What were some of your favorite experiences and memories as a student at CIHE?

    Playing Carom board available in the library during breaks was fun addition to my college days.

  • What skills did you develop at CIHE that prepared you for the job search process and your current role?

    CIHE helped me enhance my communication and presentation skills.

  • What tools, networks, or support from CIHE helped you land your first job after graduation?

    CIHE exposed me to an internship opportunity, where I met incredible people.

  • Walk us through your job search process after finishing at CIHE. Any key learnings for students?

    Unfortunately not, since I recently graduated, I am still in the process of searching for a job.

  • What excites you most about your new career path and company?

    Technology has always been a vital part of my life, and I’m grateful to be pursuing a career in a field that truly excites me.

  • What are 3 key pieces of advice you want to share with current CIHE students about making the most of their college experience?

    My three key pieces of advice would be; 1) Enjoy the facilities that are available. From college library to all the other resources. 2) Actively participate any career opportunities available, any internships or networking events. 3) Enjoy your college life, make time for your friends and extra curricular activities.

  • How do you plan to stay actively engaged with the CIHE alumni community?

    I would love to stay in touch with the CIHE alumni community with the help of social media platform.

  • What was your learning style, and how did you balance work and study?

    I’m a kinesthetic learner, so hands-on practice was essential for me to truly absorb new concepts. As for balancing work and study, it comes down to prioritizing tasks and focusing on what’s most important.

  • Any other reflections or memories you want to share about your CIHE journey?

    My experience in CIHE has been filled with ups and downs, from hectic online classes to fun moments with friends and all the friendly teachers.
