Following a thorough review of the documentation and correspondence provided by CIHE, both professional bodies have granted accreditation for an initial period of four years, valid until the end of 2028. This timeline is intended to align with the re-accreditation process of CIHE’s accredited undergraduate programs. The accreditation confirms that the programs meet all necessary professional standards, including technical and professional competency areas required by the industry. What Does This Mean? Accreditation Approval: CIHE’s programs have been evaluated by CA ANZ and CPA Australia and found to meet the required educational standards for professional accountants.  The approval is for an initial period of four years, until the end of 2028. Kathmandu University and CIHE Launch Collaborative Bachelor of IT Program

Kathmandu University (KU) in Nepal and Crown Institute of Higher Education (CIHE) in Australia have announced a collaborative Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) program. Under this partnership, students complete the first two years of study at KU, while CIHE oversees the remaining two years in Australia. Each intake is capped at 30 students, offering them a chance to immerse themselves in both KU’s academic rigor and Australia’s dynamic IT landscape. For those who opt to continue in Nepal or face challenges obtaining an Australian visa, KU offers a seamless transition into its Bachelor of Computer Science or Bachelor of Technology in Artificial Intelligence programs. If 50% or more of the intake size requires this option, the Department will conduct a full-fledged BIT program in Nepal, allowing participants to complete the final two years at KU and graduate with a BIT degree from the university. Meanwhile, students who move on to CIHE will be eligible to receive dual degrees from both KU and CIHE. In addition to a more cost-effective fee structure, they can also take advantage of various scholarship opportunities.
