Enrolment open for Kathmandu University and Crown Institute Double Degree Program in IT

Crown Institute of Higher Education (Australia), in collaboration with Kathmandu University (KU) School of Engineering has officially opened admissions for its innovative Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) Double Degree Program for the 2026 intake. This unique program offers students a dual-campus experience. Under the “2+2” modality, students will spend their first two years at KU in Nepal and the remaining two years at CIHE Australia. A key safety net of the program ensures that if a student is unable to secure an Australian visa, they can seamlessly complete their full four-year degree at the KU School of Engineering  in Nepal.

Key Admission Dates

Prospective students should take note of the following timeline to secure their spot:

  • Registration Deadline: February 20, 2026

  • Entrance Examination: February 23, 2026

  • Publication of Merit List: February 27, 2026

Eligibility Requirements

The program is open to both Nepalese and International applicants. Candidates must have:

  • Completed +2 or an equivalent degree in the Science Stream (Physics, Chemistry/Computer Science, and Mathematics).

  • A minimum of 50% aggregate marks or a CGPA of 2.0.

  • Proficiency in English and a strong academic record (recommended for visa success).

Program Highlights

  • Dual Registration: Students are registered at both partner institutions from the start.

  • Credit Transfer: Credits are transferred between institutions at the end of every semester.

  • Special Convocation: A dedicated ceremony will be held in Nepal with representatives from Crown Institute for the awarding of degrees.
