Dr Md Ashraf Uddin

Dr. Md Ashraf Uddin is a Lecturer in Information Technology at CIHE Australia (Crown Institute of Higher Education) in Canberra, Australia, where he also serves as Course Coordinator (IT) for the Master of Research program. Prior to this, he was an Associate Research Fellow at Deakin University and held an Associate Professor position at Jagannath University, Dhaka.

Dr. Uddin holds a BSc (Hons) and MS in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Dhaka, and a PhD from the Internet Commerce Security Laboratory at Federation University Australia, where his research focused on blockchain applications in the Internet of Things.

He has been recognised among the world’s top 2% scientists in the annual ranking jointly compiled by Stanford University and Elsevier in 2025 and 2024. He is also a recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award 2025 from CIHE Australia. His research interests include cybersecurity, machine learning, and blockchain technology.
