Dr Mohobbot Ali

Dr Mohobbot Ali has previously worked with MIT-Sydney, University of Canberra, and University of Dhaka. Before moving into academia, he gained industry experience with British American Tobacco Company and New Zealand Dairy Board. He also previously served as Head of Business School and Accounting Course Coordinator.
He has extensive teaching and research experience in higher education both in Australia and overseas. His dedication to teaching and research has been recognised by various institutions. Dr Ali received Dean & Head of School’s Teaching Commendation in 2020 and 2021 at MIT for his contributions to teaching. In recognition of his research capabilities, he has secured external research grants funded by the World Bank, University Grants Commission Bangladesh, and British Council UK. His research interests include corporate risk reporting, intellectual capital reporting, corporate climate change reporting, and forensic accounting. He has published widely in reputable accounting and business journals and presented at numerous international conferences.
Dr Ali maintains professional membership with CPA Australia and Bangladesh Accounting Association.
