Dr. Nazila Razi is an Associate Professor and the Associate Dean at Crown Institute of Higher Education (CIHE), with over 17 years of distinguished experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership. Her work exemplifies transformative leadership and strong advocacy for academic integrity, institutional excellence, and staff empowerment across the higher education sector.

As a strategic and visionary leader, Dr. Razi has played a central role in strengthening CIHE’s academic governance, compliance, and quality assurance. Her leadership has been instrumental in repositioning CIHE as a forward-looking and research-active institution underpinned by robust academic standards and a culture of continuous improvement. She has led the development and implementation of the Research and Scholarship Strategic Framework 2025–2028, Teaching and Learning Strategy 2025–2026, Institution-wide Action Plan 2025–2026, Artificial Intelligence Action Plan 2025–2027, Internal and External Moderation Plan 2026–2027, and the Teaching and Learning Implementation Plan 2026–2028, Policy development and revision, all of which have strengthened CIHE’s strategic coherence, compliance maturity, and institutional performance.

Her leadership in compliance and quality assurance has driven systematic improvements in governance structures, internal review processes, and reporting mechanisms, ensuring full alignment with the Higher Education Standards Framework (HESF) and best sector practices. She has championed responsible assessment design, strengthened moderation systems, and promoted ethical and transparent academic practice across all levels of the institution.

Dr. Razi’s leadership extends deeply into professional and staff development. She established the CIHE Research Seminar Series and an extensive in-house professional development program, advancing institutional capability in areas such as academic integrity, assessment in the era of AI, and evidence-based teaching. Through the Academic Mentoring Program and Peer Observation of Teaching Program, she has mentored numerous academic staff, empowering them to enhance their teaching effectiveness, scholarly engagement, and leadership potential.

As a collaborative leader, she has fostered a collegial and high-performance culture at CIHE one that values innovation, accountability, and shared responsibility. Her inclusive leadership style has inspired teams across teaching, research, and administration to work collectively toward institutional goals, while ensuring transparency, trust, and professional respect are embedded in all decision-making processes.

Dr. Razi has also been pivotal in establishing core academic structures, including the Research and Scholarship Committee, Human Research Ethics Committee, and Research Centres, fostering an integrated environment of scholarship and applied research. She serves on the Executive Management Committee, Academic Board, Course Advisory Committee, Academic Promotions Committee, and Academic Risk Committee, and chairs the Teaching and Learning Committee, where she continues to drive policy reform, academic quality, and institutional excellence.

Her research and professional engagement reinforce her leadership influence. She has published in leading international journals such as Sensors, Applied Sciences, Journal of Risk and Financial Management, and Qualitative Research in Accounting & Management, and contributes actively to the professional community as a member of Chartered Accountants ANZ, CPA Australia, and multiple academic editorial boards.
