Ranran Liu is the Head of School (School of Education and Social Work), and a Senior Lecturer in the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education program at the Crown Institute of Higher Education, Australia. She completed her PhD from Western Sydney University, where her research explored the relationship between children’s play and second language acquisition.
Ranran’s academic interests span early childhood education and pedagogy, with a focus on the role of play in fostering learning, second language development in young children, innovative early years learning models, and the alignment of higher education with professional practice in early childhood education. Her work emphasises bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application to nurture future educators and advance the field of early childhood education.
