‘Acknowledgement of Country’ is a way of a way of showing respect to the Traditional Owners of the land. an opportunity for anyone to show respect for Traditional Owners and the continuing connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Country. An Acknowledgement of Country is usually delivered as part of Welcome and Housekeeping at meetings and events and is an opportunity to show respect for Traditional Owners and the continuing connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Country.
