Bring your own device BYOD
‘Bring your own device BYOD’ refers to permission (within parameters) for CIHE students and staff to access, store, process or transmit data or digital information for the purposes of CIHE work or study requirements, via a device not owned by CIHE. This may include laptop computers, personal digital assistants, tablets, smartphones, and USB type portable storage devices. Approval for specific devices may need to be given and CIHE reserves the right to restrict a type of device. CIHE maintains its document intellectual property (IP) at all times.
