Intellectual Property (IP)’ refers to creations of the mind, including inventions, literary and artistic works, designs, symbols, names and images used in commerce. Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) grant the owner exclusive control over the use and exploitation of their intellectual creations, allowing them to prevent others from using or misusing these creations without permission. These rights provide the owner with the opportunity and time to commercialize their innovations or to transfer ownership under an agreement.
