CIHE Research Centre in Accounting (RCEA), which is dedicated towards fostering innovation, research, and development within the field of Accounting. Its research priorities bring together and thematise the strengths of CIHE’s PhD qualified Accounting permanent and sessional academics. It also services the development needs of early-career academics and future research students.
Objectives
- Advance Research: To conduct high-impact research that contributes to theoretical and practical developments in accounting.
- Foster Academic and Industry Collaboration: To build partnerships with firms, regulatory bodies, and academic institutions to ensure relevance and application of research findings.
- Enhance Educational Outcomes: To develop curriculum materials, case studies, and tools that reflect the latest research trends, fostering innovative teaching methodologies.
- Promote Knowledge Dissemination: To organize conferences, workshops, and seminars that facilitate exchange of ideas among academics, practitioners, and students.
- Support Sustainable Practices: To focus research on sustainability in accounting practices and reporting, encouraging corporate responsibility.
