Internships – real-world industry experience
Internships at CIHE Australia provide structured, supervised opportunities for students to apply their learning in a professional setting that is aligned to their course and learning outcomes.
Internships are designed to support the development of practical skills, professional capability and reflective learning. Students are supported by our staff and workplace supervisors throughout the internship to ensure appropriate guidance, monitoring and academic oversight.
“The Internship program is a game-changer for students because they can graduate with real world experience and add it to their resume. It puts them in a different position compared to other students.” – Karen Lewitton
Placements – supervised industry practice
Professional placements at CIHE Australia give you the opportunity to develop your professional practice in real, supervised settings that are directly connected to your field of study.
Placements are built into courses such as Early Childhood Education and Community Services programs. They focus on building the skills, confidence and professional judgement you need for your future role. You will be supported by experienced workplace supervisors and our teaching staff to help you meet the learning requirements of your course. Build your readiness for professional practice and relationships that can support your next steps after graduation.
For organisations, let’s collaborate
If you are interested in collaborating with CIHE Australia to support student placements, we would welcome the opportunity to work with you. We carefully screen and prepare our students prior to working with industry.
In the early childhood context, we ensure all students hold current Working with Children Checks (WWCC), First Aid, and Child Protection certifications. Students are also supported through structured in class learning to prepare them for hands-on experiences in early learning settings. We aim to build respectful partnerships that support quality practice, student development and positive outcomes for children, families and educators.
